Federal criminal cases in Virginia and Washington D.C. are suspending all jury trials until February and March, respectively.
On January 8, 2021, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA) temporarily suspended through February 28, 2021, all criminal jury trials, grand jury proceedings, and all in-person misdemeanor, traffic, and petty offense dockets. The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has postponed all jury trials until after March 15, 2021.
While D.C. Courts are proceeding with other criminal matters, it is important to discuss an attorney to make sure that you are up to date with your court dates.
